Homecoming
Wednesday, 29 October 2003
So I was working on homecoming stuff all last week, and that was the reason for the last updates. But hey, I made it within the week. So I worked on almost every homecoming event since most events had to be co-ed and I was basically the only guy that worked on the stuff. Monday there was a canoe race, which I couldn't make, since I had class at that time. Then there was Spoons... the card game. But instead of spoons, we played with permantent markers... the caps of. I figured it would be a messy game, so I wore and old shirt and pants. We get there and lost pretty baddly, but it was still fun. By the end of the game, the only marks I had were on my hands from grabbing the tip of the marker. SI got pissed so I grabbed the marker and wrote all over my shirt. I figured, at least I would leave with some battle damage. Tuesday we had a scavanger hunt that was a total crock. We got a list of location and had to look for these baskets containing different items. You collect the item and at the end the team with the most different items wins. But two of the baskets were stolen, which didn't help us any. Toward the end someone helped us by telling we had to talk to different people. So we ran around and found the people. Some of them we apparently weren't suposed to talk to, because they gave us wrong items. So some people we had to talk to and others we didn't and they didn't tell us any of that. Later that night we had Trivia, which went as well as it could have. Wednesday I got suckered into helping with the Lip Sync. We did the song by Martina McBride called This Ones for the Girls or something, I don't know, I didnt really know the song. I wore a cowboy hat and dress and ran around acting like a complete idiot. That night the banner was also turned it, which I didn't work on, since I didn't Hall Decorations almost all by myself. The only thing I didn't do was the text on the windows, since my hand writting sucks. That was judged Thurdsay. Friday was Yell-Like-Hell, which I though we rocked at. Out theme was Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, so each of us was dressed as a different character. I was Linus. We were the most unique and entertaining, which should have gotten 1st place, but we didn't place anything. Saturday was the parade including our float and marching unit. I helped a bit with the float and was in the marching unit. Overall we didn't place in anything except 1st in the float. I heard that most of the judges were from a certain hall, and they won because of it. It was a huge crock, since most halls didn't have a theme, which should have eliminated them. Oh well, we tried.

I bought another game, and have been playing it like crazy, which is another reason for lack of updates. I am not going to say what it is, because people give me shit for buying it. I let you pretend it is something cool, that way, it's all good. I also got the new Barenaked Ladies album, which rocks. Well, I am off to see Michelle Branch and Jason Mraz in concert tonight then off to South Dakota until Sunday. Talk to you when I get back. Until next time... Eat a Waffle.
