Battle Royale

This, I think is the best movie in the world. Of course this is just my my stand point. I think many people would say it sucks, or its "alright." For starter, I must say that it is a Japanese movie, and it does have subtitles, not dubbed. The translations might suck, but its not that bad. It would be even worse if it was dubbed, trust me. Ok, let me tell you the basic plot and that way, you can tell if it is worth checking it out. It is about a high school class that gets put on a deserted island and is forced to kill each other. Before I continue, I guess it is like "Lord of the Flies," but crossed with "Survivor," and they must kill each other. This game they are in lasts the max of three days. If there is more than one person left standing, they all die. So they must kill each other, including their best friends. Each person gets a duffle bag including food, water, map, and one random weapon. The weapon can be anything from an axe to a pot lid. The map is used to mark off dangers zones, which will kill the people in them if they are in them at the time announced for them. The movie is very well put together and shows the emotional side and the psycotic side of most of the characters. I started reading the graphic novels for this film, since I enjoyed the film a lot. The books are even better than the film. They get into more detail of everything and make everythin make more sence. And they put a couple interesting twists to the film also, which makes it even more interesting. Oh yeah, I must admit the movie for mature people and the books even more so. Violence is incredibly gory and cool. Until next time... Eat a Waffle.
