Shenmue
Monday, 30 June 2003
I resently bought this 4-disc set for the Dreamcast for only $9.99. I thought it was a deal for the price. But when I got it home and started playing it, I knew it was worth a lot more than that. I have the sequal to the game also for Dreamcast, but I am going to wait until I beat the first one before I start the second. It is a great game do to variety. There are puzzles to solve, fighting with an added traing element to make your moves stronger, and there is this new aspect call QTE which it a reflex type thing. Some people say parts get repeatative, but this can make things funny, otherwise you can do what I do, just take a break from the game. "Do you know where I can find Chinese people?" That line never gets old. Oh, yeah there is also a fun collecting aspect of the game that is just in there for side fun. Oh, and the most annoying thing I find about this game, as you are walking around, people just seem to disappear and appear right in front of you. This is a real pain if you are doing something timed. But overall it is a great find. And incase you don't have Dreamcast, Shenmue II is available for X Box.
